Spacca Napoli

Last night the girls (Arani, Gayle, Alexis, Lexy, and Ellis) and I had a special reunion anniversary dinner at Spacca Napoli.  Since we all hadn't been together since before the holidays, it was great to catch up and share the exciting new happenings in our lives.  We all love Spacca Napoli, which has frequently been awarded the Michelin Bib Gourmand - quality food at a reasonable price.  They are known for their Neapolitan-style pizza, baked in a one-of-a-kind tiled, brick oven brought over from Naples and assembled by specially-commissioned Neapolitans.
We wanted their famous burrata (mozzarella with bread) appetizer, which we had enjoyed so much last time, but because of the bad weather earlier this week, they unfortunately did not have any.  Instead, we ordered the prosciutto e bufala (mozzarella) and grigliata di verdure (grilled vegetables).  We also enjoyed the pizza rustica and the quattro formaggi (four cheese); we were not disappointed.  Since my first visit in 2012, I had wanted to go back to Spacca for their spumoni - the best I've ever had.  It is not your artificially-flavored Edy's spumoni that you find in your grocery's freezer; the Spacca spumoni is perfection and I could have eaten another.  Spacca offers complimentary cannoli as you walk out of the restaurant; they are oh-so-delicious and creamy.
