Wine Hop & Pop

Last night the ladies and I met up after work at Bin 36 to celebrate Reese's new job.  We shared some Rosemary mixed nuts, Spiced Olives, and the Bin 36 Flight, which included Crecenza, Cabra Blanca, Bent River, Quadrello di Bufala, St Malachi, and Roquefort.  In nostalgia for my time abroad in Spain, I had the Iberian Delights wine flight, a quattro of two white wines from Portugal, and two from Spain. They went down easy--especially the Alvarinho.  I really liked that you can order half glasses so that you can try a variety of wines and buy bottles on your way out.  Also, a slip of paper explaining the origin and details accompanied each wine or cheese order.
I couldn't resist the dessert menu and ordered the chocolate-hazelnut torte with a scoop of corn ice cream. Corn ice cream is awesome!  The chocolate cake was supposed to come with a scoop of pomegranate ice cream, but I saw the corn ice cream paired with the pumpkin mousse and asked for the switch.
We didn't stop there.  We walked up a few blocks to Pops for Champagne and each ordered one more drink to cap the night.  Reese treated herself to her beloved oysters.  I'm the one who ordered the Diet Coke, because I was still "digesting" my alcoholic libations from Bin.
