The other night, Reese and I were walking south on Dearborn when we passed by Eduardo's Enoteca. The quaint Italian eatery was dark, and had tabletop candles and romantic string lights framing the main window. After walking past some empty bars along Division, we walked back to Eduardo's. The small tables were full (mostly with dates), but we were able to sit right away at the small bar and order some food and wine. Reese really liked the chianti and also ordered a trio of cheese: honey goat, taleggio, and spicy gorgonzola. We both liked the honey goat the best--it was rich with the right amount of sweetness. I ordered the artichoke and parmesan pizza, which had shaved artichoke, parmigiano-reggiano, mozzarella, Italian herbs, fresh garlic and lemon. The Italian herbs, which I believe included parsley, served as a counterbalance to all the dairy.
I will definitely return to this hidden gem tucked away in the Gold Coast. Some of the autumn specials are calling my name: butternut squash soup, autumn black kale salad, fichi [fig] e pancetta pizza, and pumpkin cheesecake.
